Resolve Recruit is partnering with a key Commonwealth Government agency to find a highly skilled Senior Cyber Security Architect.

This is a high-impact opportunity to lead cyber security architecture and uplift initiatives within a complex enterprise environment, supporting nationally significant digital and service delivery programs.

In this role, you will provide both technical and strategic leadership across a complex cyber security landscape, driving alignment with Australian Cyber Security Centre and Australian Signals Directorate directives while embedding secure-by-design principles and cyber best practice across the organisation and its client agencies.

You will lead the delivery of cyber security activities in response to evolving ISM, PSPF and Essential Eight requirements, supporting the design and implementation of ICT solutions that reduce security risk across departmental and client agency environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical and non-technical security architecture advice to departmental programs and a broad range of stakeholders.
• Lead the implementation of the Essential Eight, including technical uplift, remediation guidance, and stakeholder engagement.
• Support the design and implementation of ICT solutions and services aligned with ACSC, ASD, PSPF and ISM requirements.
• Review and provide guidance on application and system integration designs in the context of PSPF, ISM and Essential Eight.
• Lead cyber security activities to meet changes in ISM and PSPF policy requirements.
• Raise awareness of security issues with both technical and non-technical staff across the organisation.
• Contribute to secure-by-design solution patterns across Azure and enterprise environments.

Key Experience and Skills:

• Demonstrated Commonwealth Government experience minimising cyber security vulnerabilities and uplifting security capability through secure-by-design practices.
• Proven experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and services, with a focus on technical cyber security architecture.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing application and system integration designs and providing cyber architecture guidance relating to PSPF, ISM and Essential Eight.
• Experience implementing Essential Eight in government agency environments across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and advisory capability across technical and business audiences

Work Arrangements:

This role is based in Canberra, ACT, with a hybrid working model available subject to operational requirements.
